Tomato Pie Cafe Assistant Manager in Harrisburg, PA

Job Summary:The primary role of the assistant manager is to assist the manager. This includes working positions in the front and back of the house as needed to ensure the restaurant meets the financial operating goals, general operating goals, as well as Health Standards. The assistant manager is responsible to assist the manager in creating, enforcing, and maintaining all employee goals, checklist, evaluations, standards, guidelines and overall performance of the facility. All decisions are under the authority and control of Tomato Pie Café.Reports to:The assistant manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be under the authority of the General Manager.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School or equivalent. Course work in restaurant management preferred Three plus years prior professional experience in restaurant management desiredValid driver's licenseKnowledge of Labor Laws, Health Codes, Safe Food Handling and Sanitation, Safety and Security systems and procedures, computer operationsGood people management skills, communication and listening skillsComputer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeMust be flexible and adaptable to changeDemonstrated time management and organizational skillsMust be internally motivated and detail oriented and have a passion for teaching and develop others Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidaysMinimal physical requirements: The ability to be on ones feet for long periods of time and lift, sometime repeatedly, 50 lbs or more, sight above blindness and the ability to hear in a noisy environment
